I finally sorted visual studio and its extensions out. The first few uploads were me trying to figure out why the bin file was not converting to a cur file. Now I am stuck with a blank full graphic controller that ticks but does not light up.
So far I am happy I haven't gotten any magic smoke and I will try swapping some blank boards and screens to see if there are different results.
